Mike Koetje

Senior Pastor

Pastor Mike has the privilege of serving as Westwood’s pastor.  Before coming to Westwood in November 2014, he served congregations in Grand Haven, MI and Hull, IA.  He grew up in Hudsonville, MI.  While in middle school, he experienced the Holy Spirit nudging him to pursue a career in full-time ministry.  He graduated from Calvin College and Calvin Seminary.

Pastor Mike and his wife Mindy have three children: Alyssa, Nathan, and Mattias.  Pastor Mike enjoy a cup of good hot chocolate and hot fudge shakes, vacations to national parks with his family, gardening, and hiking the many trails throughout West Michigan.

April Sparks

Director of Youth & Children's Ministry

April pursued a Youth Ministry major at Kuyper College with a deep desire and call to share the grace and truth of God with her students. She is passionate about being a life-long learner as well as learning to take steps towards healthy risks. April enjoys being outside, reading, breakfast foods, laughing with others, and playing silly games.

Kristina Jipping

Director of Worship & Discipleship

Spending most of her life in the Chicago suburbs, Kristina moved across the lake to pursue Choral Conducting at Western Michigan University.  With a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Music from WMU, Kristina enjoys making Kalamazoo/Portage her new home while serving the Lord at Westwood!  In addition to music, she has a passion for small groups and discipleship, loves to learn, and spends plenty of time listening to and reading Tim Keller!

Katelyn Aggen

Office and Communications Coordinator

Katelyn will welcome you from the front office and works to effectively communicate with the congregation and community about life at Westwood CRC.  She is passionate about serving the church and making Westwood a welcoming place where people can find and follow Jesus.  She and her husband Mike have two daughters.  Katelyn enjoys Michigan's beaches in the summer, baking sweet treats, and spending time with her family.

Karen Kros

Lead Custodian

Karen works to keep the inside of our building clean and welcoming.  She also works full-time at Mulder's Landscape Supplies.  Karen is a master gardener, enjoys baking and being outdoors, and loves spending time with her three adult children.
